The full curriculum for CAM specialist certificate program as a Certified Specialist is outlined below:

Curriculum:

·         Part I – Preparation to Become a Specialist 

o   Introduction seminar = 1 - 3 contact hours

o   Initial Specialist training = 16 - 18 hours

o   Ethical dimensions in caring for individuals & families = 4 contact hours

·         Part II  - Clinical Practicum, Documentation & Evaluation supervised with a Mentor

o   20 contact hours done over time with clients & families (more hours may be required depending on the ability of the specialist in training 

o   10 hour minimum outlining previous energy based work

o   10 hours supervision minimum

·         Part III – Certification through Energy Medicine Partnerships International – Documentation of clinical practice as verified by an outside review body the ensures safe, ethical practice operating under a Code of Professional Conduct  = 7 contact hours

Descriptions

Part 1 Specialist Training 

Includes an introduction to Dr. Mary Jo Bulbrook's specialisty. Soul Healing  - an exciting in-depth opportunity to explore blocks to your personal journey in life as well as opening the door to increase your healing abilities and Soul Light.  Non-demonational this theory and practice uses your own spiritual framework to produce changes in your energy system.

During this course you will build on your professional training in the health care field or another field, apply energy based therapies from previous training such as Transform Your Life through Energy Medicine, Healing Touch, Reiki, Subtle Communication Systems, Therapeutic Touch, Energy Medicine, Touch for Health, Energy Psychology, Yogi, Tai Chi or GiGong, Sound Healing, Life Coaching, Natropathy, and other eligible completed energy training.  Includes also energetic self care to then apply to clients,  Explore the ethical dimensions in providing energy based care.  Define your role and establish an energy based practice.  Complete supervised specialist training with a mentor and then present professionally to your peers through workshop and / or publications on your speciality as then verified in Part 2.

Part 2 Specialist Training

This is usually taken 6 months to a year later and provides the documentation of fulfilling the requirements of specialist training.  It can be done on line as well as in person with peers.  The completion requires about 9 hours of contact hours to verify the specialty training.  The person will be awarded the title Energy Medicine Specialist.

Part 3 Certification

Once completing the CAM Specialist training the person can submit their credentials to EMPI certification board for the awarding of Certified Energy Medicine Specialist.  A  documentation packet is to be completed that will be addressed in Part 2 Specialist training.
